Chocolate Tray Bake Recipe
quick easy dessert with a dollop of ice cream, or smaller pieces for lunch boxes or with a cup of tea.

Ingredients
  • 8 oz soft margarine
  • 12oz self raising flour (sifted)
  • 3 heaped tbs quality cocoa powder (sifted)
  • 8 oz caster sugar
  • 4 eggs (beaten)
  • 4 tbs milk
  • 2 oz dark chop chips
  • 2 oz milk choc chips
  • 2 oz white choc chips (or 6 oz of your favourite type!)
  • chocolate sprinkles for on top

Directions
  1. preheat oven to 180c/350f/gas mark 4
  2. grease a 13x9x2 in cake tin with margarine
  3. place all the ingredients except the choc chips and sprinkles in a bowl and beat together using a wooden spoon
  4. once blended so no margarine is visible, add choc chips
  5. spoon the mixture into the cake tin and level the top
  6. scatter sprinkles
  7. bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes, until risen and springy to touch
  8. leave to cool in the tin, once cool cut into squares as big or small as you like!
