How to make it

  • To prepare the guavas for stuffing cut a thin slice from the top of each guava.
  • With a melon ball scoop or small spoon remove seeds and set guavas aside.
  • Heat oil in a skillet.
  • Add mushrooms, onion, olives, herbs, salt and pepper then sauté until vegetables are soft.
  • Remove mixture from flame then cool.
  • Stuff guavas filling to the top.
  • Place stuffed guavas in a baking dish just large enough to hold them.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds over guava tops then bake at 325 for 1 hour.
  • Serve hot.
