How to make it

  • Heat oil to 350.
  • Combine flour, cornstarch, salt and pepper.
  • Stir in 1-1/2 teaspoon oil and desired amount of beer gradually so batter is not too thin.
  • Coat hot dog with batter lifting out of batter with a fork.
  • Sprinkle with coconut then roll lightly in flour.
  • Fry hot dog in oil until golden brown then heat in oven for 10 minutes.
