How to make it

  • To make awesome chicken wings simply do the following:
  • First go and get some wing sections at the market, and also get ”Progresso Italian bread crumbs”. If the wings are connected, cut them apart and rinse them off. Start enough water boiling in a large saucepan to cover the chicken wings. When the water starts to boil, drop in the wings and as soon as the water boils again start a 20 minute timer. After 20 minutes pass, drain and fill with cold water to cool them off faster. Do this a couple of times until they are nice and cold. In a large mixing bowl add a lot of bread crumbs and in another bowl crack some eggs and take a fork or whisk and beat them, it depends on how many chicken wings you have. Use common sense here. Take the cooled off wings and one at a time roll them in the egg mixture and one at a time put them in the bread crumb bowl and press the crumbs onto the wings really good. When they are all coated and put aside on a plate, fry them in Crisco shortening at 350 degrees until they are golden brown. The next step is very important, take the golden brown chicken wings out and place them on a paper towel on a plate and then place them in the refrigerator, yes the refrigerator. But only for 10 minutes! This will insure that they are at the proper temperature and not too hot, because if they are too hot they will burn your taste buds and you won’t be able to taste the rest of the awesome chicken wings which will spoil your whole time enjoying them.

Just made this and sad to say there was little to no flavor. It did make the chicken nice and crispy but had to add hot sauce to give it some zing......advise on putting chicken in fridge prior to eating, priceless!

Tonight's the night! Before I roll them around in the egg and bread crumbs, though, I'm going to sprinkle them with back pepper, a little salt and most definitely some garlic powder I'll get back to you and let you know how they turned out.
