How to make it

  • Cut beef into thin slices. Slice the jalepeno pepper in half and remove the seeds and veins. Take the pepper and cut it into thin slices.
  • Combine 1 Tbsp each: cornstarch and soy sauce with garlic and sugar into a medium bowl. Stir in the beef and jalepeno slices. Let stand for 15 minutes.
  • Next remove flowerets from broccoli and cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel stalks, cut diagonally into thin slices.
  • Combine 1 Cup water, remaining 2 Tbsp. soy sauce, 5 teaspoons cornstarch and crushed red pepper into a small bowl.
  • Heat 1 Tbsp. oil in a hot wok or large skillet over High heat. Add beef mixture and stir-fry 2 minutes; remove beef.
  • Heat remaining 2 Tbsp. oil in the same pan. Add broccoli and onion; stir-fry 2 minutes. Sprinkle 2 Tbsp. water over the vegetables. Cover and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add beef and soy sauce mixture. Cook and stir until sauce boils and thickens. Remove from heat and stir in vinegar.
  • Serve over cooked white rice
