Flavorful Salmon Patties Recipe
Salmon with a new twist. Its excellent served with creamed peas and mashed potatoes.

Ingredients
  • 1-14oz. can red salmon
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 cup finely chopped fresh mushrooms
  • 1 tsp. accent
  • 1 Tbsp. chives
  • 1/2 tsp. chopped garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp. all purpose flour
  • 20 crushed town house crackers
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Directions
  1. Drain salmon and remove any skin or bone pieces.
  2. Place into large bowl.
  3. Chop onions, peppers, mushrooms and add to salmon.
  4. Add eggs, accent, chives, garlic, cumin, salt, pepper and flour.
  5. Crush crackers and add to bowl.
  6. Mix all ingredients until blended well.
  7. Shape into 8 patties.
  8. Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat.
  9. Place patties in skillet and brown about 7 minutes on each side.
  10. Remove and place on plate lined with paper towels for any excess oil.

I have tried this recipe, and the flavors work so well together. I didn't have mushrooms and these patties still tasted great. This is my newest edition to eating salmon. I would change the name to Gourmet Salmon Patties. Thanks.
