How to make it
- Wash squash and cut off both ends.
- Slice into about 1/4th-inch rounds
- Place in a pot with the margarine and water.
- Bring to a boil over a medium heat.
- Add salt and pepper; lower heat and continue to cook (with lid on) until squash is tender.
- Taste for salt and pepper and doneness before taking up.
- Serve with a slotted spoon.
