Smoky Bean Chili Recipe
This hearty chili can be made mild or spicy depending on your preference. The beans add lots of fiber and taste great. Its so easy and quick to throw together. For cooks on a budget, this chili can't be beat!

Ingredients
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 large cans diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 cans dark kidney beans, undrained
  • 1 can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup hickory BBQ sauce
  • 2-4 Tbsp chipotle sauce (optional, for heat)

Directions
  1. In large stockpot, brown ground turkey with onion, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  2. Add chili powder and cumin and stir until mixed.
  3. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, garbanzo beans, black beans and BBQ sauce.
  4. Add chipotle sauce for heat, if desired. 3 Tbsp makes chili moderately spicy.
  5. Cover and simmer for 90 minutes.
  6. Enjoy!
