Energy Boost Oatmeal porridge Breakfast

- 1 cup of rolled oats(whole) shopping list
- Half a cup of rolled Spelt shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons sultanas shopping list
- 4 dried apricots chopped shopping list
- 4 dried prunes chopped shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons walnuts(hazelnuts) roughly chopped shopping list
- 1 grated apple shopping list
- Boiled water from the kettle shopping list
- milk or rice milk or Soy milk, which ever you prefer...or none of them? shopping list
How to make it
- Put all dry ingredients and grated apple into a saucepan.
- Pour boiling water over it all, until it is just covered, and let it sit for a couple of minutes with the lid on the saucepan, it will absorb some of the water.
- Add milk of preference.... or water, until the mix is barely covered again.
- place the saucepan on a high heat and stir until it boils.
- Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally for a couple of minutes until it thickens up.
- Serve hot (it will thicken more as it cools) .......I like to pour a bit of cold milk over my serving.
