Italian Shrimp Galliano

- 2 cups sifted flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup Galliano ( Italian herbal liquor ) shopping list
- 1 cup warm water shopping list
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 2 egg whites, beaten stiff shopping list
- 2 pounds fresh shrimp, shelled and deveined shopping list
- vegetable oil for deep-frying shopping list
- Galliano sauce: shopping list
- 1 pint sour cream shopping list
- 2 tablespoons chopped shallots or scallions shopping list
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup Galliano shopping list
How to make it
- Instructions
- Blend together first 5 ingredients. J
- ust before frying shrimp, fold egg whites into batter.
- Heat oven to 250 degrees to hold fried shrimp.
- Pour 3 to 4 inches of vegetable oil into a large saucepan.
- Coat shrimp with batter.
- When oil reaches 350 degrees on deep-fat thermometer, add shrimp, about 8 at a time.
- When shrimp are golden brown, remove from oil. Drain briefly on paper towel then transfer to warm oven.
- Serve with Galliano sauce.
- Sauce: Combine all sauce ingredients together. Chill 4 hours.
