Cheese-Swirled Devils Food Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 Devils Food Cake Mix
  • 1 8 oz package Neufchatel Cheese, softened
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • Raspberry Sauce:
  • 1 10 oz package frozen raspberries

Directions
  1. Preheat 350 degrees
  2. Coat 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan with non stick spray.
  3. Combine cheese, 1 egg and sugar in small bowl.
  4. Beat with mixer until smooth.
  5. Gradually beat in milk and vanilla
  6. Reserve this mixture.
  7. Combine cake mix, 3 eggs, water and oil in bowl using mixer at low speed; then mix for 2 minutes on high.
  8. Pour half the batter into prepared pan.
  9. Drizzle with half the cheese mixture; repeat layers.
  10. Run knife thru batter to make swirls.
  11. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake pulls away from sides of pan.
  12. Cover cake for last 10 minutes if browning too fast.
  13. Cool pan on wire rack.
  14. Raspberry Sauce:
  15. Puree frozen Raspberries in blender.
  16. Press thru sieve to remove seeds.
  17. Serve over each slice of cake... and garnish with left over raspberries.
