How to make it

  • Preheat grill.
  • In a bowl mix meat, salt, pepper and garlic paste.
  • Form 4 burgers.
  • Cook burgers over a hot fire until desired temperature is reached.
  • Toast the buns then put a patty on each one and top with your favorite condiments.
  • Roasted Garlic Paste:
  • 1 pound whole garlic heads
  • 1/2 cup pure olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Peel the outermost layers of skin off the heads of garlic then cut off the top 1/3 of heads to open cloves.
  • Put the heads cut-sides up in a small baking dish and pour the olive oil over them then season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover tightly and place in the oven and roast 45 minutes.
  • Uncover and return to oven until cloves begin to pop out of their skins then allow to cool.
  • When cool enough to handle squeeze garlic into bowl then add oil from baking dish.
  • Mix well until a paste forms.

    Sounds like a nice twist on the standard burger. I love those poppy seed buns, but they are hard to find. Good post.
