Poppy Seed Roasted Garlic Burger

- 2 pounds ground chuck shopping list
- 2 teaspoons sea salt shopping list
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/4 cup roasted garlic paste (recipe below) shopping list
- 4 poppy seed buns shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat grill.
- In a bowl mix meat, salt, pepper and garlic paste.
- Form 4 burgers.
- Cook burgers over a hot fire until desired temperature is reached.
- Toast the buns then put a patty on each one and top with your favorite condiments.
- Roasted Garlic Paste:
- 1 pound whole garlic heads
- 1/2 cup pure olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Peel the outermost layers of skin off the heads of garlic then cut off the top 1/3 of heads to open cloves.
- Put the heads cut-sides up in a small baking dish and pour the olive oil over them then season with salt and pepper.
- Cover tightly and place in the oven and roast 45 minutes.
- Uncover and return to oven until cloves begin to pop out of their skins then allow to cool.
- When cool enough to handle squeeze garlic into bowl then add oil from baking dish.
- Mix well until a paste forms.
