Needing something to impress a bunch of relatives for the 4th of July, I concocted this great drink.
I read about the idea of using Jack Daniels in an ice cream soda .
However, my husband and I never expected it would taste so onderful.

OK, so I will admit I didn't make this according to the instructions exactly. I didn't have hershey's syrup (it was late and everywhere is closed) so I just skipped it (don't like chocolate so much anyway). And I was out of seltzer so I used San Benedetto which is more of a sparkling mineral water. And heavy on the Jack.

That being said...
I think this would taste better using coke instead of the seltzer, it needs a little more sweetness. Alternatively, just mash the Jack straight into soft vanilla ice cream, and eat it.
You could put it in a banana split and get a nice variation on bananas foster, especially if you flambe it...
