Jack Daniels Ice Cream Float Recipe

Ingredients

Club soda to fill glass

1 ounce Jack Daniels whiskey

1 ounce Hershey’s chocolate syrup

1 scoop vanilla chocolate swirl ice cream or plain vanilla or plain chocolate ice cream

Optional: whipped cream, maraschino cherry as garnish

Directions

You can probably vary the amount of chocolate syrup and whiskey as you wish.

In a large ice cream soda glass ( or a tall glass with at least 2 cups capacity or more ) place syrup and Jack Daniel’s .

Add club soda and stir very well, filling soda almost to the top.

Mixture will be foamy..

Place in a scoop of ice cream and garnish if desired with some whipped cream and a cherry.

Note: I think one ounce of Jack Daniel’s is just enough but add more if you wish!

OK, so I will admit I didn't make this according to the instructions exactly. I didn't have hershey's syrup (it was late and everywhere is closed) so I just skipped it (don't like chocolate so much anyway). And I was out of seltzer so I used San Benedetto which is more of a sparkling mineral water. And heavy on the Jack.

That being said...
I think this would taste better using coke instead of the seltzer, it needs a little more sweetness. Alternatively, just mash the Jack straight into soft vanilla ice cream, and eat it.
You could put it in a banana split and get a nice variation on bananas foster, especially if you flambe it...
