Cherry Glazed Chicken

- 3 whole chicken fryers shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- garlic powder to taste shopping list
- 2 jars of whole cherry preserves shopping list
- 1 can of orange juice concentrate undiluted shopping list
- 2 cans of water shopping list
- 1/2 stick butter or margarine softened shopping list
- 1/4 cup dry vermouth shopping list
How to make it
- Cut chicken up into serving pieces
- Season with salt, pepper and garlic
- Make a sauce by combing the orange juice concentrate, water , preserves, butter and vermouth.
- Bring sauce to a boil and simmer about 15 minutes.
- Pour sauce over chicken and bake uncovered 350F for 15 minutes.
- Turn chicken over ( skin side up ) and bake about 45 minutes until chicken is cooked with a nice red glaze
- Be sure to baste chicken every 15 minutes while baking in oven
- Spoon extra sauce over chicken when serving.
