My husband asked me today if I knew how to make hot chocolate - He doesn't know how without syrup or a mix - I thought this would be a great recipe for my innaugural addition to the grouprecipes.com family - ENJOY!

Ingredients
  • MILK - how much you use is up to you
  • COCOA POWDER- again amount will vary depending on your tastes
  • VANILLA
  • SUGAR
  • CINNAMON
  • GINGER

Directions
  1. Throw everything into a heavy bottom sauceopan - I dont recommend nonstick because you need to stir this a bit - The majority of this recipe is just tasting it until its good to you - we add variations all the time - one of my favorites is using rum extract instead of vanilla - its like an eggnog meets hot chocolate experience - soooo good !
