How to make it

  • In medium saucepan cook onion and garlic in oil until tender; stir in cranberry sauce,cherries,sugar,1/4c water,vinegar,cinnamon and 1/4 tsp.pepper.
  • Simmer, uncovered,sturring often until thickened,about 10 min.
  • Transfer to serving bowl;cover.
  • Preheat oven to 325F. Place ham on rack in shallow roasting pan.
  • Insert meat thermometer in the thickest muscle.
  • Bake until thermometer reaches 135F, about 1 3/4 to 2 1/2 hrs.
  • Cover with foil and let stand 15 min. before carving.
  • Temp will rise to 140F during standing.
  • Warm cranberry chutney,if desired and serve with ham.
