How to make it

  • (1) clean and wash the fish.
  • (2) cut into big pieces and fry lightly with salt
  • (3) grind peppercorns.
  • (4) make smooth paste of peppercorns, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric and ground spices with little water.
  • (5) heat clarified butter.
  • (6) fry chopped onion and garlic with cardamoms until golden brown.
  • (7) add ground spices paste and ground ginger.
  • (8) fry for 30 seconds.
  • (9) add one cup water.
  • (10) stir until onion is tender.
  • (11) mix chopped tomatoes and stir until thick.
  • (12) add 1 1/2 cup of thin coconut juice or coconut milk and fried fish.
  • (13) cook till gravy is thick.
  • (14) remove from fire ,and sprinkle chopped coriander leaves on it.
  • (15) serve hot ,lunch or dinner
