How to make it

  • Thoroughly wash spinach and dry.
  • Break into bite size pieces and place in the refrigerator to chill.
  • Sauté bacon until crisp then partially drain reserving drippings.
  • Add sugar and vinegar then stir until dissolved.
  • Heat until bubbly and pour over spinach then serve at once with pepper sprinkled over the top.
