Chicken Turnovers With Mushroom Sauce

- Pastry for 2 layer pie shopping list
- 3 cups well seasoned minced canned chicken shopping list
- 1/2 pound mushrooms sliced lengthwise shopping list
- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- flour shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups milk shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups chicken broth shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Divide dough in 6 squares.
- Put 1/2 cup chicken in center of each pastry square.
- Moisten edges of pastry slightly with water then fold pastry over chicken to form triangles.
- Seal edges by pressing with floured fork then prick tops with fork.
- Place on baking sheet and bake at 450 for 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 350 and continue baking 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile cook mushrooms in butter for 4 minutes.
- Sprinkle with flour stirring until well blended.
- Add liquid gradually then season and cook until thickened stirring constantly.
- Serve with turnovers.
