How to make it

  • Divide dough in 6 squares.
  • Put 1/2 cup chicken in center of each pastry square.
  • Moisten edges of pastry slightly with water then fold pastry over chicken to form triangles.
  • Seal edges by pressing with floured fork then prick tops with fork.
  • Place on baking sheet and bake at 450 for 10 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to 350 and continue baking 20 minutes.
  • Meanwhile cook mushrooms in butter for 4 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with flour stirring until well blended.
  • Add liquid gradually then season and cook until thickened stirring constantly.
  • Serve with turnovers.
