How to make it

  • Cook ground beef in pan. Drain.
  • Cook potatoes in half of oil until cooked, about 7 minutes. Remove.
  • Heat half of oil over moderate heat. Add onions and cook until clear, for about 3 minutes. Stir garlic and ginger, cook 1 minute. Add cooked beef. Add serrano peppers, coriander, cumin, cinnamon & salt. Stir 1 min.
  • Stir in potatoes, yogurt and milk. Bring to a boil.
  • Cover pan. Reduce heat, simmer for 20 minutes. Uncover and cook 5 minutes longer. Stir in peas & remaining 1/2 tsp salt. Stir until peas are undone, about 2 minutes.
  • Serve over rice or couscous.

    This looks good...but I am a little confused with the quantity of ground beef. Doe 1 1/2 refers to lbs or kgs. Please clarify. Thanks
