- 1/4 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup chopped onions shopping list
- 3 large potatoes, peeled and cubed shopping list
- 3 cloves garlic shopping list
- 1" x 1" piece of grated ginger shopping list
- 2 serrano peppers, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef shopping list
- 2 1/2 tsp coriander shopping list
- 2 1/2 tsp cumin shopping list
- 1/3 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 1/2 tsp turmeric shopping list
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cup plain yogurt shopping list
- 3/4 cup whole milk shopping list
- 1 cup baby peas shopping list
How to make it
- Cook ground beef in pan. Drain.
- Cook potatoes in half of oil until cooked, about 7 minutes. Remove.
- Heat half of oil over moderate heat. Add onions and cook until clear, for about 3 minutes. Stir garlic and ginger, cook 1 minute. Add cooked beef. Add serrano peppers, coriander, cumin, cinnamon & salt. Stir 1 min.
- Stir in potatoes, yogurt and milk. Bring to a boil.
- Cover pan. Reduce heat, simmer for 20 minutes. Uncover and cook 5 minutes longer. Stir in peas & remaining 1/2 tsp salt. Stir until peas are undone, about 2 minutes.
- Serve over rice or couscous.
