How to make it

  • many mushroom recipes are battered or almost raw, deep fried, or raw added to other dishes, this one is as simple as it gets.
  • slice the LARGE whole mushrooms [any type] across the stem taking the skirt and stem off
  • then slice again leaving 2/3 of the top and the bottom 1/3
  • fry in a hot pan of 1/8 inch grease salting lightly
  • turn untill well browned on both sides
  • serve fast with breakfast or great for a snack
