Relish Topped Franks

- 3 large onions, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce shopping list
- 3 tbsp catsup shopping list
- 2 tbsp water shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano, crushed shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper shopping list
- hot dogs shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped onions, tomato sauce, catsup, water, sugar, oregano, salt, garlic salt, and red pepper. On the range top, bring to boiling, reduce heat.
- Simmer, covered, about 20 minutes, or until the onions are just tender.
- Grill the hotdogs on an uncovered grill, directly over medium-hot coals, for 3-5 minutes.
- Turn frequently
- Serve hot dogs on buns with the relish.
- Store the leftover relish, in a tightly covered container, in the refrigerator for up to two weeks
