How to make it

  • If you haven't bought the beef pre-sliced you will need to slice it very thinly.
  • put the flour into a dish
  • beat the egg and put into another dish
  • mix together the breadcrumbs, paremsan cheese and garlic and place into another dish.
  • you should now have 3 dishes side by side.
  • Coat a slice of beef in the plain flour.
  • Then dip the floured slice into the beaten egg.
  • Now place the slice into the mixture of breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese and garlic until it is evenly coated, place on a plate.
  • continue until each slice of beef is coated with flour/egg/breadcrumb mix.
  • Now heat the oil in a frying pan until hot. Place each slice in the fat until cooked on one side then turn over and cook the other side. each side usually takes about 2 minutes. They do cook VERY fast.
  • You can serve immediately or place in the oven to keep warm while you prepare the side dishes.
  • Tonight the side dishes are pasta with cracked pepper and new potatoes made into wedges.
  • If you have any of the flour/egg/breadcrumb mix leftover you can cut cauliflower into individual florets and coat it with the mixture then fry that as well.
