Low And Slow Tri-tip Recipe

Ingredients
  • Tri-tip
  • 1 red onion
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • salt to taste
  • Crushed black pepper
  • half cup soy sauce
  • crushed red pepper
  • 1 cup Italian dressing

Directions
  1. Mince onion and garlic.
  2. Add onion and garlic to soy sauce and Italian dressing.
  3. Sprinkle salt and crushed black/red pepper on tri-tip (both sides).
  4. Place in zip-lock bag and gently tenderize.
  5. Once both sides of the meat have been tenderized, add Italian dressing, soy sauce, garlic, and onion. Place in fridge for 1 hour.
  6. Heat the BBQ to 400 degrees. Sear the top of the tri-tip first, roughly 2 mins, and repeat to the bottom .
  7. Once both sides are seared, turn heat to low.
  8. Flip tri-tip 3 to 4 times for 60 min basting as you go.
  9. Once meat reaches 150 degrees pull off the grill.
