Spanish Bean Soup Garbanzo Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 chorizos (spanish sausage) sliced
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 or 4 medium potatoes diced (save water for soup)
  • 4 cans garbanzo beans with liquid
  • large pinch of saffron threads
  • water
  • 1 c. cubed ham

Directions
  1. Place all ingredients in a large pot nad simmer for several hours.
  2. Leftover soup will keep at least a week, and gets better the longer it sits.
  3. You can also add ham hocks if you like.
