Customizable Omelette
From shant93 15 years agoIngredients
- 5 large eggs, white or brown shopping list
- butter or cooking oil shopping list
- fresh parsley or dried parsley flakes shopping list
- Your custom ingredient: cold cuts, vegetables, sausages, etc. (NOTE: if some of your ingredients take longer than 2 minutes to cook, the recipe will be lengthened) shopping list
How to make it
- Take out a bowl for mixing, keep in mind you will beat eggs in it. Then crack in the eggs. Throw out the shells.
- Add a pinch of salt and a lot of black pepper, the more the better, but there is a limit. Then add 1-2 teaspoons of parsley and your custom ingredient. NOTE: Your ingredient can be anything from cold cuts to veggies to sausages, but if it has to cook (like sausages, meat or bacon) do not put it in now, wait for the cooking step. I use polish sausage or smoke chicken breast cold cuts.
- Now beat the eggs and ingredients thoroughly.
- Take out a big frying pan, or smaller and higher if you want a thicker omelette. Now turn up the heat TO THE MAX and grease it with butter you melt in the pan or cooking oil. Put in just enough to cover the whole surface.
- Now, if any of your custom ingredients need to be cooked longer that the eggs, put them in now WITHOUT the eggs. When completely cooked, add the eggs.
- Wait about thirty seconds and start flipping the areas where the base is solid and the top is still raw. Keep doing this until all of it is all solid, but it should all be egg-yellow, no burn marks.
- Finally, separate the eggs and serve with cut-up fresh green bell peppers and fruit juice.
