Bengal Gram Dhal Payasam

- 1 C Bengal gram dhal , cooked and mash without lumps with the back of a spoon shopping list
- 1/2 C jaggery , melted in 1/4 C warm water and strained shopping list
- 1/2 C Thick coconut milk shopping list
- 1/2 C Thin coconut milk shopping list
- handful of nuts saoked in warm water shopping list
- Pinch of powdered cardamom shopping list
- coconut bits , roasted in ghee shopping list
How to make it
- Mix the cooked dhal in the thin milk and simmer .
- Add the jaggery syrup , nuts , cardamom .
- Boil for 5 mins .
- Add the thick milk .
- Once it starts to boil on the sides , remove .
- Garnish with the coconut bits .
- Serve with pappad ( indian wafers )
