Pasta Pari Pineapple Surprise

- 1 Cup butter shopping list
- 1/2 Cup sugar shopping list
- 1 oz cognac shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 2 Cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1-12oz Jar pineapple preserves shopping list
- 12 eggs,separtated shopping list
- 1-1pound box powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 oz cognac shopping list
- almond extract shopping list
- 1-1/2 pounds almonds,blanched and finely ground shopping list
How to make it
- Combine the butter and sugar together until well-blended.
- Add 1 oz of Cognac,baking powder and 1 egg.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Now gradually add the flour and work together to form a soft dough.
- Line the bottom of a 10x14" oblong pan with the dough.
- Spread the pineapple preserves evenly over the dough.
- Beat together the 12 eggs yolks,powdered sugar,baking powder,remaining cognac,and almond extract.
- Add the almonds and beat thoroughly.
- In a separate bowl beat the egg whites until stiff but not dry.
- Fold the egg mixture into the beaten egg whites.
- Carefully spread this over the pineapple preserves.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes
