How to make it

  • Advance preperation: Marinate the steak in the beer, oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper overnight in refrigerator.
  • Drain steak and pat dry.
  • Grill the steak until done to your preferred level of doneness (Flank steak is best served medium-rare).
  • Slice the onion into rings and saute in butter, paprika, and dash of salt until just wilted.
  • Warm sour cream and stir in horseradish.
  • Thinly slice meat on the diagonal across grain into 1/2" strips and pile over 2 slices of bread per person.
  • Put onion slices on meat and top with 2-3 tablespoons of cream sauce.
  • Garnish with a sprinkle of paprika.
