How to make it

  • Mix gelatin and sugar together in a large bowl.
  • Stir constantly as you add boiling water, and continue to stir until gelatin dissolves completely.
  • Blend in the mayonnaise and lemon juice.
  • Put in refrigerator to chill until the consistency of the mixture is about the same as the consistency of unbeaten egg whites.
  • Stir in the vegetables and pour into a 11x7 pan and put back in the refrigerator to chill until it is firm.
  • Cut into 6-8 squares to serve.
