How to make it

  • Combine the vanilla and half the sugar with the egg yolks and whisk until creamy
  • In a blender bring the rest of sugar and the egg whites to a stiff peak
  • In a sperate bowl add the hot coffee, the butter (cut into small cubes), and chocolate and whisk until choclate is melted
  • add cognac and a pinch of salt
  • bake for 20mins or until torte starts to pull away from sides

  • combine ingrediants in kitchaide and beat on high until the cream comes to the consistancy that you prefer
