How to make it

  • In heavy saucepan, beat eggs, 1/2 cup sugar and flour until pale lemon color. Gradually beat milk into egg mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla until blended. Place plastic wrap directly on surface of filling to cover. Cool.
  • To assemble pie, slice bananas and fold into filling; spoon into pastry shell. Cover with plastic wrap and chill until ready to serve. Remove plastic wrap, whip cream with remaining 2 tablespoon of sugar until soft peaks form. Spread on top of pie. Enjoy!
