If done correectly, one will be rewarded with authentic dulce de leche, a great caramel sauce for all types of pastry and desserts

Ingredients
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk, unopened
  • 1 crockpot
  • Water to cover.

Directions
  1. Keep crockpot on low, cover the can,
  2. Keep at a low boil for two to three hours, making sure the water level
  3. always stays above the top of the can (if the can isnt submerged, it
  4. may explode).
  5. The longer it cooks, the thicker the dulce de leche will be; after two hours, youll be able to drizzle it, and after three hours, it will be thick enough to sandwich cookies.
  6. Make sure the can is thoroughly cool before you open it.
  7. Remeber, keep a high enough water level that even evaporation shouldn't cause problems.
  8. It is easy and delicious.
