Easy Easy Pound Cake Recipe
My granny used to make this really easy pound cake. Good to slice for strawberries and whipped cream. Or just eat plain.

Ingredients
  • 1 # of butter or margarine, softened
  • 3 cups of sifted flour
  • 1 # powdered sugar, sifted
  • 6 eggs at room temperature
  • 1 tsp almond flavoring
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan or 12 cup bundt pan.
  3. Using highest speed of mixer, cream 1 # of butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Add flour a cup at a time and mix well each time.
  6. Blend in almond and vanilla flavoring.
  7. Pour into greased pan and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Test for doneness when skewer comes out clean.
  8. Cool 10 minutes in pan and then remove to cooling rack.
