- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 cup white vinegar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dried dill, celery seeds, or caraway seeds shopping list
- 1 head cabbage, shredded shopping list
- Optional: shopping list
- Shredded carrot shopping list
- Shredded radishes shopping list
- Shredded onions shopping list
How to make it
- Put sugar and vinegar in small saucepan.
- Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
- Boil 1 minute.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in chosen herb.
- Refrigerate until cool.
- Combine with cabbage (and optional ingredients, if desired). This gets better when allowed to rest several hours, but it's ready to eat after an hour.
