Creamy Tiramisu Recipe
CREAMY TIRAMISU This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Pearson Estate in Caddo Mills Texas in 1994.

Ingredients
  • 4 ounce package ladyfingers
  • 1/2 cup espresso coffee brewed
  • 2 tablespoons brandy
  • 6 eggs separated
  • 6 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1-1/2 pounds cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Directions
  1. Mix cream cheese, heavy cream and sour cream together.
  2. Spread ladyfingers on a large baking sheet.
  3. In small bowl combine coffee and brandy then sprinkle ladyfingers with this mixture.
  4. In medium bowl beat egg yolks and sugar with electric mixer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add cream cheese mixture and blend on low speed until combined.
  6. In large bowl beat egg whites until soft peaks form about 3 minutes.
  7. Using a spatula fold whites into cream cheese mixture.
  8. Line bottom 8 cup soufflé dish with half of the ladyfingers.
  9. Spread half the cream cheese mixture on ladyfingers and sift 2 tablespoons cocoa over surface.
  10. Repeat layers ending with cocoa.
  11. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  12. To serve spoon onto serving plate.
