How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Slice apples into thin rings then cut rings into quarters.
  • Combine preserves and flour in mixing bowl then add apples and toss to coat evenly.
  • Pour into bottom of a pie plate or shallow baking dish.
  • Combine coconut, oats, brown sugar and flour in a mixing bowl.
  • Melt butter and add to chopped almonds then add butter and almonds to coconut mixture,
  • Mix well then sprinkle topping evenly over apple mixture and bake 35 minutes.
  • Cool slightly then serve with sherbet.
