Turkey and Shrimp Jambalaya

- 1/2 pound sausage sliced shopping list
- 1 pound raw turkey breast diced in 1/2" pieces shopping list
- 2 cups white onions chopped shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic minced shopping list
- 1 bell pepper chopped shopping list
- 2 stalks celery chopped shopping list
- 3 bay leaves shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dry thyme shopping list
- 2 cups long grain rice converted shopping list
- 1 pound can tomatoes crushed with liquid shopping list
- 2 cups hot chicken stock shopping list
- 1 pound raw peeled shrimp shopping list
- 4 green onions sliced shopping list
- 1/4 cup parsley chopped shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 3 tablespoons hot sauce shopping list
How to make it
- Sauté hot sausage and turkey in oil for several minutes then in same oil cook onions and garlic.
- Add bell pepper and celery then cook until tender then add bay leaves and thyme.
- Add rice and stir until coated in oil then add tomatoes and stock then bring to boil.
- Cover and simmer 30 minutes then add shrimp and cook an additional 20 minutes.
- Just before serving add green onion, parsley, salt, pepper and hot sauce.
