ORANGE SCENTED HOT CHOCOLATE This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Corrigan Estate in Justin, Texas in 1992.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate chopped
  • 3 slices orange peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant espresso powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in heavy medium saucepan then stir over low heat until chocolate melts.
  2. Increase heat and bring to boil stirring often then remove from heat and whisk until frothy.
  3. Return to heat and bring to boil again then remove from heat and whisk again.
  4. Discard orange peel then pour hot chocolate into mugs.
