Blackened Tofu Recipe
A vegan dish with a kick - good for those who think they don't like tofu!

Ingredients
  • 1 package Extra Firm Silken Tofu
  • 1 bunch Swiss Chard
  • 1 can drained and rinsed Navy Beans
  • Soy Sauce
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • Brown Rice Vinegar
  • 2 T Paprika
  • 2 T Black Pepper
  • 1 T Salt
  • 1 T Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 T Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 T Oregano
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1/2 T Thyme

Directions
  1. Slice tofu in half vertically and then again diagonally
  2. Whisk together soy sauce through paprika
  3. Marinate tofu pieces in mixture for 30 min
  4. Combine pepper through oregano, mix well
  5. Heat oil on large sauce pan
  6. After marinating, dip tofu in dry rub on either side
  7. Put tofu in sauce pan 3-4 min per side
  8. Add navy beans 4 minutes after adding tofu
  9. Finish cooking tofu, turn off heat, add chard and cover
  10. Steam for approx. 2 min, or until chard is soft
  11. Serve tofu and beans on bed of chard
