Smoky Maple Bakin Bits

- 1/4 cup less 2 tbsp water shopping list
- 1/4 tsp liquid smoke shopping list
- 1 tsp brown sugar shopping list
- pinch fine salt shopping list
- 3 drops red food colour shopping list
- 1/4 cup dry TVP granules shopping list
- 1/4 tsp maple flavouring shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients but TVP and maple flavouring in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, then add TVP and remove from heat.
- Stir well to combine, cover and let sit (off the heat) for 10 minutes. Stir in maple flavouring.
- Heat a dry non-stick frypan over medium-high heat.
- Add the reconstituted TVP to the pan and cook until dry, about 3-4 minutes, stirring gently to prevent burning.
- Store in an aritight container.
