How to make it

  • Combine all ingredients but TVP and maple flavouring in a small saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil, then add TVP and remove from heat.
  • Stir well to combine, cover and let sit (off the heat) for 10 minutes. Stir in maple flavouring.
  • Heat a dry non-stick frypan over medium-high heat.
  • Add the reconstituted TVP to the pan and cook until dry, about 3-4 minutes, stirring gently to prevent burning.
  • Store in an aritight container.
