Just a nice apple ham loaf to serve to whom ever.Nice for a lunch with friends,simple,but ok.

Ingredients
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/4 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Prepared Mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon Pepper
  • 3 Cups Crushed Corn Flakes
  • 2/3 Cup (each): Chopped Green,Sweet Red and Yellow Peppers
  • 2 Cups Diced Peeled Apples
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Onion(I like half, sweet red and the other half white)
  • 1-1/2 Pounds Ground Ham
  • 1-1/2 Pounds Ground Pork
  • Orange Marmalade (or) Apricot Preserves

Directions
  1. In a bowl,combine eggs,brown sugar,mustard,soy sauce and pepper.
  2. Stir in cornflakes, and the peppers,apples and onion.
  3. Add ham and pork.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Divide between two ungreased 8x4x2" loaf pans.
  6. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  7. Spoon marmalade or preserves over the loaves.
  8. Bake 20 to 30 more minutes longer.

Oh, honey, this would be so good and a nice change from hamburger. I like the sweetness with the ham. Yummy stuff.


I love the fact that you added the corn flakes and the apples - they must give a nice texture and taste to the recipe. Got my 5.


I must admit, I don't think I have ever used ham and loaf in the same sentence ..... ;-)~ But this sounds really tasty. I am also a lover of Orange Marmelade. This will be on my short list of things to try... Thanks... Jim
