Mushroom Scalloped Potatoes Recipe
MUSHROOM SCALLOPED POTATOES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Rosenthal Estate in Montgomery, Alabama in 1989.

Ingredients
  • 8 medium potatoes pared and sliced
  • 1/2 cup chopped white onion
  • 3 ounce can sliced broiled mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk

Directions
  1. Alternate layers of potatoes, onion and mushrooms in a greased baking dish.
  2. Add seasonings then mix soup and milk and pour over layers.
  3. Liquid should show in top layer so add more liquid if needed.
  4. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour 15 minutes then uncover and bake 15 minutes more.
