Joes Best Quiche Lorraine

- 1 nine inch frozen pie crust shopping list
- 1/2 pound bacon shopping list
- 2 cups shredded swiss cheese (I like Jarlsberg) shopping list
- 1 3oz. can sliced mushrooms shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 4 large eggs shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Fry bacon until grease is rendered, then crumble when cooled.
- Put bacon and shredded cheese into the pie crust, add mushrooms.
- Beat eggs and milk together along with the salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Pour the custard into the crust over the cheese, bacon and mushrooms.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 40 mins with a baking pan on rack beneath it to catch any spillage.
- Serve immediately for best results, but I also like it as a leftover if there is any leftover.
