How to make it

  • Soak the peas overnight. The next day drain.
  • In blender, grind peas with salt and black pepper to taste until the beans become like paste.
  • The peas should look like a paste but a little coarse. Add some water if necessary.
  • Heat oil in frying pan. when the oil is hot scoop one spoonful of paste in oil; repeat until all of paste has been used.
  • Turn occasionally and remove to drain on paper towel when brownish in color.
  • Serve with chutney.
