- 1 cup black eyed peas shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper shopping list
- oil for deep frying shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Soak the peas overnight. The next day drain.
- In blender, grind peas with salt and black pepper to taste until the beans become like paste.
- The peas should look like a paste but a little coarse. Add some water if necessary.
- Heat oil in frying pan. when the oil is hot scoop one spoonful of paste in oil; repeat until all of paste has been used.
- Turn occasionally and remove to drain on paper towel when brownish in color.
- Serve with chutney.
