Easy Broccoli Potato Soup

- 4 slices bacon shopping list
- 2 cups frozen cut broccoli shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups water shopping list
- 2 tablespoons instant minced onion shopping list
- 2 teaspoons chicken flavor instant bouillon shopping list
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups Hungry Jack Mashed potato flakes shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups milk shopping list
- 4 ounces (1 cup) shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
- Cook bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels; crumble. Set aside. shopping list
- In large saucepan, combine broccoli, water, instant minced onion, bouillon and garlic powder; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 5 minutes. shopping list
- Stir in potato flakes. Gradually stir in milk. Add cheese and crumbled bacon; cook over low heat until cheese is melted, stirring constantly. DO NOT BOIL. Sprinkle each serving with parsley and paprika. shopping list
How to make it

Loved it! Changes I made... 2 1/2 cups of chicken broth instead of water. Powdered onion, no bouillon, left over mashed potatoes with sour cream, used just enough potato flakes to thicken the soup up to add the milk, a 1/4 teaspoon of salt s...more
