How to make it

  • In large saucepan, combine broccoli, water, instant minced onion, bouillon and garlic powder; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
  • Stir in potato flakes. Gradually stir in milk. Add cheese and crumbled bacon; cook over low heat until cheese is melted, stirring constantly. DO NOT BOIL. Sprinkle each serving with parsley and paprika.

    Loved it! Changes I made... 2 1/2 cups of chicken broth instead of water. Powdered onion, no bouillon, left over mashed potatoes with sour cream, used just enough potato flakes to thicken the soup up to add the milk, a 1/4 teaspoon of salt since we didn't add bacon. This is a kid recipe too. My ds and dd loved it.
