Cornbread Stew Cobbler

- 1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut in cubes shopping list
- 1/2 lb bacon shopping list
- 1 diced onion shopping list
- 4 sliced carrots shopping list
- 4 ribs celery, sliced shopping list
- 5 medium potatoes, cubed shopping list
- 1 pkg Au Jus, prepared. shopping list
- Worchestershire sauce shopping list
- Tabasco sauce shopping list
- salt, pepper, garlic to taste shopping list
- flour shopping list
- water shopping list
- Topping: shopping list
- 1 cup cornmeal shopping list
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup oil shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 c sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare a 12 inch oven and charcoal.
- Brown diced bacon in Dutchoven, remove bacon.
- Dredge steak in flour, salt, pepper. Brown in bacon grease. Add onions and cook until onions are transparent.
- Add remaining ingredients and bacon, adding water to cover. Bring to a simmer and cook about 30 minutes.
- Mix all ingredients for cornbread crust, pour batter over the stew.
- Bake at 350 for about 45-60 minutes until done.
