Bavarian Apple Tart

- CRUST shopping list
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 1/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter, softened shopping list
- 1/4 teasp. vanilla shopping list

- FILLING shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 ( 8-ounces ) packages cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 teasp. vanilla shopping list
- .................................................. shopping list
- TOPPING shopping list
- 4 cups peeled, sliced 1/4 inch thick, tart cooking apples shopping list
- 1/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teasp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teasp, nutmeg shopping list
- dash cardamon shopping list
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds shopping list
- whipped cream shopping list
How to make it
- heat oven to 375' F
- in small mixer bowl... combine all the crust ingredients
- beat on medium speed until the dough leaves the sides of the bowl
- press on bottom of 10-inch spring form pan
- in same small mixer bowl...combine all the filling ingredients
- beat at medium speed until smooth ... about 2 -3 minutes
- spread over crust
- in large bowl... toss together the apples, 1/3 cup sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom
- arrange the apples over the filling
- bake at 375' for 35 to 45 minutes or until the apples are fork tender.
- sprinkle with the almonds
- continue to bake for 5 to 10 minutes
- cool completely on wire rack
- when cool remove rim from the springform pan
- cut into wedges and serve with whipped cream
