Old World Nut Strudel

- 4 C. flour shopping list
- 2 cakes Compressed yeast shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 5 egg yolks shopping list
- 1/2 Lb. butter shopping list
- 1/2 C. milk shopping list
- 2 T. sugar shopping list
- FILLING: shopping list
- 1 Lb. ground walnuts shopping list
- 1 C. sugar shopping list
- 5 egg whites (beaten stiff) shopping list

How to make it
- Prep time does not include rising time
- Soak yeast in a little warm water ti crumble or softened
- Put butter into flour and mix as for pie crust.
- Then add sugar and mix.
- Add eggs and milk and mix.
- Divide dough into four parts to have 4 strudels,
- .Roll out thin.
- Put in filling and roll up, let rise for an hour.
- Bake at 325 degrees for one hour
