Ingredients
  • 4 C. Flour
  • 2 Cakes Compressed Yeast
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 5 Egg Yolks
  • 1/2 Lb. Butter
  • 1/2 C. Milk
  • 2 T. Sugar
  • FILLING:
  • 1 Lb. Ground Walnuts
  • 1 C. Sugar
  • 5 Egg Whites (beaten stiff)

Directions
  1. Prep time does not include rising time
  2. Soak yeast in a little warm water ti crumble or softened
  3. Put butter into flour and mix as for pie crust.
  4. Then add sugar and mix.
  5. Add eggs and milk and mix.
  6. Divide dough into four parts to have 4 strudels,
  7. .Roll out thin.
  8. Put in filling and roll up, let rise for an hour.
  9. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour
