I actuially was trying to make chocolate chip cookies but I forgot the chocolate chips and put the cookie sheet on the lower shelf on the oven and it melted into brittle. I didn't originally use nuts...but I would guess that you probably can...

Ingredients
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpos Flower
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1/2 teasopoon Salt

Directions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 325.F and grease a large cookie sheet
  2. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy
  3. Add eggs and Vanilla and mix well
  4. Graduially sift in remaining fry ingredients
  5. MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS MIXED THROUGHLY!
  6. Make the dough into balls about the size of a golf ball
  7. SPLAT the dough balls 2 inces apart throuout the prepared cookie sheet
  8. DONT LEAVE ANY GAPS OF SPACE- USE THE WHOLE COOKIE SHEET
  9. Place the cookie sheet on the LAST RACK and "bake" for 16-17 min
  10. When the brittle comes out of the oven, immediatly cut it into 2x2 pieces but do not remove from the cookie sheet
  11. Place the cookie sheet in the freezer for 5 min or until cool and brittle
  12. Sprinkle nuts on top
